TerraOverview interpretation: low emissions scenario (SSP1-2.6), thirty years centred on 2050
SSP1-2.6 is the low emissions pathway among those the IPCC considered in its sixth assessment: it assumes global emissions fall rapidly and warming stays close to the limits of the Paris Agreement. The values are the mean change expected in the grid cell, about 5.5 km across, between the thirty years 2036-2065 and the 1985-2014 reference period, computed by TerraOverview from the daily values CMCC publishes. They come from a single climate model: there is no range between models, so these numbers do not say how far models disagree with each other, and for precipitation and dry days the difference between the two scenarios at mid-century is smaller than a single model varies on its own. This is a scenario, not a forecast, and it concerns a cell 5.5 km across, not the building.
