Reading rules
Every TerraOverview summary comes from a versioned rule, listed here. The rules are our own work: the values of the sources are reported separately, as the sources publish them.
- A rule says how TerraOverview reads a class published by a source: for example, what it means for a point to fall in class P3 of a landslide map.
- It is versioned: every report records the rules version it was produced with, and a changed rule is a new version, not a silent correction.
- It does not change the source’s data, which the report keeps as the source publishes it, beside the summary and apart from it.

The word in bold beside each category of the report. It is a TerraOverview reading per category: it is not added up, not compared across categories and produces no overall score. “Nothing flagged” says that the source flags nothing at the point, not that the point is free of hazard.

Precision
Precision is the spatial resolution the source declares for the data, given as a distance. It is not a judgement on how reliable the data is, and it is not compared across sources.
