TerraOverview interpretation: earthquakes with damage to buildings observed in a locality within 5 km of the point
The Italian Macroseismic Database records, for a locality within 5 kilometres of the point — a distance TerraOverview chose — at least one earthquake of intensity 6 or 7 on the MCS scale, the degrees at which the scale describes damage to buildings. An intensity is the effect observed in that settlement, not a measurement at the address, and it does not say whether or when it will happen again. The observations are listed strongest first, with the year, the epicentral area and the magnitude CPTI15 gives that earthquake. Those below intensity 4 are not listed.
