TerraOverview interpretation: shoreline moved more than 5 m seaward between 2006 and 2020, within 250 m of the point
ISPRA drew the Italian shoreline on the 2006 orthophotos and on imagery of 2017–2020 and compared the two lines, stretch by stretch, after aligning them: more than 5 metres landward is erosion, more than 5 metres seaward is advance, within 5 metres is stable. It is a displacement observed between two dates, not a yearly rate, not a forecast and not its cause. TerraOverview reports the stretches within 250 metres of the point; that distance is its own choice.
